HOMEWORK POLICY

HOMEWORK I expect all homework assignments to be handed in on time. Grades will be affected by late and missing work. Any make up work will be discussed and determined by the instructor. Failure to turn in work will result in a zero for that assignment. Learning how to be responsible is an important part of becoming a successful student. Organizing time wisely and planning ahead are skills every student needs. This homework policy will help ensure your child's success in school and at home. Please encourage your child to complete their work. Children that do not complete their daily homework will have closed break and / or no daily recess. Grading Scale
Academic Areas:
4 = Demonstrates an understanding of the standards/benchmarks that EXCEEDS expectation at this grade level
3 = Demonstrates a SECURE understanding of the standards/benchmarks at this grade level
2 = Demonstrates a DEVELOPING level of understanding of the standards/benchmarks at this grade level
1 = Demonstrates a BEGINNING level of understanding of the standards/benchmarks at this grade level
NA = Not assessed at this time
Work Habits/Behavior Skills 3 = Consistently meets expectations
2 = Partially meets expectations
1 = Does not meet expectations
