Elementary Student Council

Dear Parents and Guardians, The past years have been exciting! We started an Elementary Student Council in 2006 - 2007. We are now in the year. The Elementary Student Council includes Pre-K through fifth grade. Two representatives from grades 3, 4, and 5 serve on the Council for one year. Our objective is to promote school pride, develop leadership abilities, and create positive self–esteem. Also, these students serve as a positive role model. We feel this is working. The representatives we have had have done a wonderful job! We thank you for that. Here are some of the things that the student council and elementary students have done. Community Projects:Cookies for a Cure, Lyle Area Cancer Auction, Christmas decorations for local businesses, Valentines for local hospitals, clinics, and nursing homes, Food drive for local Lyle food shelf, wrote letters to American Soldiers, planned, and funded the Veteran’s breakfast and program. Council members help with the Read A Thon. We would like to express to you our sincere thanks for the wonderful opportunity of working and growing with your children. You have a lot to be proud of!
